The Slideshow Tool couldn't appear to be more simple, so I'm extra frustrated that I keep ending up generating white slides. Searching for solutions in previous posts is ok if I have time to kill, but if there are helpful tips or limits or warnings or naming conventions or whatever, I'd think it ought to be right there with the tool. What is there now, I feel I'm following and I get nothing. Usually I find I'm looking in the wrong place. I am now officially tired of looking.
I set up a 2x3 test wall, I have a folder with six consecutively numbered jpegs, I input my local folder like so:
C:\Outerspace Software\BluffTitler\Media\smif\New folder\Textures\image (1).jpg
I hit Generate, open the show, and look at six blank cards.
Ultimately, I am going to need a tube of about 400 playing cards for a project, so I wanted to do a mockup now then sub in the real textures at a later date. With this many textures, I obviously(?) want to sub in a finished directory later (with numbered textures) so I don't have to manually reassign textures. If I'm wrong and I need to have finished slides ready to begin with, which I find hard to believe, then I'm still stuck. The "Full path of a local picture" is my brick wall.
Please advise.
Thank you,
misterbrains
The easiest way to enter this path is to:
1) create a new picture layer with this picture
2) press F9
3) copy the path in this dialog (CONTROL C)
4) paste this path in the slideshow tool (CONTROL V)

BluffTitler has no problems with long paths, but to prevent errors I always use short paths, preferably without spaces and other confusing characters like ( and ).
Instead of using this:
C:\Outerspace Software\BluffTitler\Media\smif\New folder\Textures\image (1).jpg
I use something like this:
d:\test\p1.jpg
It's very hard to make a typing error in a path like this :)

Thank you. It turns out I was given several dozen jpeg textures that were CMYK. I should've checked.

I have 80 photos in my show. I did 16 columns and 5 rows and yet I get a lot of blank cards in my slide show. Something I am not doing properly? Please advise.
