Hi,

sometimes, when I move textures to another place on my SSD and I open up a *.bt file BluffTitler can't find the media.
That's usual and no problem so far.
But how can I get the texture back into the show without having to create the object with the texture again?
In the past I edited the *.bt file with the notepad and changed the path to the new location of a texture manually.

How can I do this easier? If I re-select the texture inside BluffTitler with "F9", the texture remains black.

Thanks

John

Reselecting the textures in the F9 dialog should work. Some thoughts:

Maybe you have forgotten the 2nd texture. (some effects use 2 textures)

Don't swap the 1st and 2nd textures. (if the effect expects a reflection map in the 2nd texture slot, do not load this reflection map in the 1st slot. Read the effect documentation in the same F9 dialog)

Maybe another effect is automatically selected when you load a texture. You can turn this system off by unmarking the Try to keep textures and effect matched checkbox in the F9 dialog.

I found out that this works fine for everything except of traced picture layers. Reselecting the picture you wanted to trace will not re-import the file into BluffTitler.

You have to press the CHANGE EPS... button.

Alternatively you can choose the menu item MEDIA > CHANGE EPS...

Since version 11 the EPS layer also accepts bitmaps. When you select a bitmap it is automatically traced. (converted into a vector)
