michiel and LostBoyz like this!
hello,
how is it possible to realize a background, sharp rotating gradients, like this, and become a single letter bigger than the rest of a word?
Nice effect!
I think the best way would be to implement this as a new effect of the slideshow tool:

sorry, don´t understand. :-(

i only mean the red background - not the flying pictures.

Well, Michiel, if you could make the pictures fly in and make a word and then change the word to a proper text ... or a logo ... THAT WOULD BE AWESOME
I was actually going to ask about a similar thing a couple of weeks ago but got distracted and never asked you.
If you could .... I'd think I'd died and gone to heaven!

When you look closely at the video you see that the pictures do not make a word. Instead a black mask is placed on top of the pictures. By animating the mask from totally transparent to opaque the word emerges.
Making the pictures fly in is something that can be added to the slideshow tool.
mrbernd, what do you mean with the "background becoming a single letter"?

oh sorry - my english is not so good.
i triy again.
the word Cinema has a big "C" and the the other letters are smaller. how to realizie with BT? and how to the rotating "beam" with sharp edges?

I would use 2 textlayers. One for the "C" and the other for "inema". Use the FONT SIZE property to make the C bigger.
And I would draw the background in Photoshop and render it with a rotating picture layer (animate the 3rd slider of the ROTATION property)
Of course you could create technology to automate all this, but sometimes low-tech solutions work best!

Yes, I understood that. What I was hoping you could achieve was the pictures flying into the text shape that was emerging, so that it "appeared" that they created the text/logo that appeared.
"Making the pictures fly in is something that can be added to the slideshow tool."
That would be great.

The slideshow tool can now let the pictures fly in. Mark the ANIMATE PICTURES checkbox:

Awesome, Michiel.
Many thanks for everything you do for us.

hello michiel,
i trie to realize the show with a text, big "C" and the rest of the text, "normal" size. then i attached the text to a container, but when i animate the container, the text moves not synchron.
mrbernd, 12 years ago
I assume that you have attached both text layers (the "C" and the "inema") to the same container layer?
Make sure they both have the same z position. You can set this with the 3rd slider of the TEXT POSITION property.
michiel, 12 years ago
same container - yes. i will check the z position.
mrbernd, 12 years ago
z position was my problem. :-( now it works!
