I can import a single frame /picture from Pinnacle into Blufftitler and edit it there
When I try to dot he same with a video sequence I get the answer I cannot: file format.
I save my Pinnacle studio file in Blufftitler: Show and try to open it from there
I know it would work with avi files

Now how do I turn my studiofile into an avi file?

You can export your Pinnacle Studio project as an AVI file by:
1) clicking the MAKE MOVIE tab
2) clicking the FILE tab
3) selecting the AVI file type
4) pressing the CREATE FILE button

You can import this AVI file into BluffTitler by choosing the menu item LAYER > ADD LAYER > ADD VIDEO LAYER...

Why do you want to import a Pinnacle project into BluffTitler? Normally you do this the other way round: you import a BluffTitler video into Pinnacle.

Thanks
After I sent my mail I figured out how to do it, the way you describes
I just want to import some frames/pictures to use Blufftitler making a text over these motion frames. I can make texts using Pinnacle but Blufftitler has more to choose from

FWIW, I use BT quite frequently to make text titles for Pinnacle projects. I do whatever animation (text) I need to do in BT, and then change the background to a 255 green. Export it as an .avi and put it on the overlay track and use the chroma key in Pinnacle to make the green go away.I seem to get much better results using BT than the Pinnacle titler. The color map gold , for example, makes a lot of the wedding videos I do really pop

How do you change the background to a 255 green?

File/Set Background Color. When the selection box comes up click on Choose Colour Now click on the bright green box that sits by itself near the middle of all the colors. When you click on it, you should see on the right side of the window that pops up it will say Hue 80 Sat 240 Lum 120 Red 0 Green 255 Blue 0. When you click OK, you'll see the background change to a bright green
