Any ideas of how to make a 3d model or a texture move in rhythm like a heartbeat?

By creating lots of keyframes.

If you are a software engineer you can write a shader that automates the process. This is an example of a shader that features an FX BPM (beats per minute) property:

Too much for me to even consider but thanks all the same for your prompt response.

When you let me know the effect/properties you are looking for I'd be happy to write it for you and publish it in this gallery.

G'day Michiel,

What I'm trying to create is an introduction for a school football video. The school crest is beating like a heart then a soccer ball floats out 'from the crest and bounces and spins over text fields. I have previously used your UFO clip in the gallery and substituted a 3D soccer ball for the UFO and put the school name for the text.

In this animation, I think your school crest only has to beat at most 3 times. This would require less than 10 keyframes (animate the SIZE property), so I think it's not necessary to use a special effect.

But in case you would like to beat the crest continuously, in rhythm, a solid 120 BPM for 2 minutes or longer here's an effect that can do this with only a single keyframe:

Brilliant, just brilliant! The effect offers a number of possibilities.

Your work is inspirational.

Thanks again.
