Been using BT for mainly static titling or simple rolling credits so far, but now looking to get my head around the 3d capabilities. Trying to get my head around text 'fly-bys' and am having come 'conceptual' issues. I would to understand what is the 'correct' way to have a camera appear to fly along some 3d text which starts out 'in front' of the camera. but the camera then appears to descend on the text, and then fly along it. The text rotates along the x axis 90 deg. so it appears to be pointing towards the screen and the camera flys along with the text on its left-hand side - much is if the camera is to the right of the text.
I can seem to partially achieve it using either the text positioning or the camera positioning and some keyframing, but it just does not look 'real' so I would appreciate any pointers to tutorials etc...
Thank you.
Maybe you can try to use bezier spline (right combobox) for the camera movement
