In edit mode and show time;
Why don't you allow us add cameras to the show?
Some times I want to have top, front and left cameras for changing positions of assets in 3d world in easy mode in editor, and some times I want to have cameras from different angels in show time and can fade or have transition from one camera to another in some seconds.
Fade and transition over time I'm not sure how to pull off but giving the illusion of multile cameras can be done by setting a keyframe for the camera at one point and then move up the timeline by .001 seconds and change your camera angle. The change seems instant and looks like multiples are being used.

Yes editing with multiple cameras has been a big request. I know there is a way!

Add an 'Active Switch Layer' so the user can indicate which camera should be the active one at any certain point on the timeline, with a key frame.

The active switch layer is a layer with 1 property that controls the active camera layer?
Can you explain why you want to switch between camera layers?
I mean, I can do anything I want by using 1 camera layer and adjusting the properties of that single camera layer.
