Is there a way to establish an axis or anchor point on an object and cause it to "swing" from that location . Using the rotation tool to accomplish this is very "labor sensitive" - there must be a better way???

Version 8.1.0.3 introduces the ROTATION CENTRE property in the picture layer. This is the point around which the picture rotates when animating the ROTATION property.

More info about this property can be found in the user guide:

Michiel - That works for a "picture" and is a great addition; is there any way to apply that to a model?

For model layers you can use the container layer: attach the model to a container layer, place the model at a non-zero position and rotate the container.

Notice that this trick also works for the picture layer.

That was slick! Thanks for the tip, Michiel.
