What we would like to do is basically 2 things: adding new effects and improving exisiting ones. That's exactly what we have been doing the last 7 years. Please take a look at the program history on the download page.
Next to effects we're always busy improving the user interface, website, user guide, examples, templates, textures, FXs, EPS files, fonts, ...
My personal interests at the moment are explosion effects, background patterns and bump maps.

dear michiel, I know you are working hard on your applications but many powerful softwares in the world have a roadmap for showing the features in the next versions.
I want more power in player mode for real time rendering, Dynamic contents and iptv, a very powerful digital signage and many new features for these.
for example I want to know :
*Do you want to export a linux version in the future?
*Will Bt have an Activex version for showing 3d contents in browsers?
*Do you think about adding powerful script to your software. Any items can have some script like adobe flash elements?
for example "on mouse down ..."
"repeat .... until" and so on.
*I need more Interactive options for PLAYER to SET and GET Properties of layers from outside.
just like flash thus we can make many interactive applications.
*I want to change the texture of an element with some api or change video or mp3 of layers each time user click a button in my delphi environment.
*detecting the end of music/video layers , it will be very good if we can pause until the end of music/video in layer and continue after the end of it.
*Do you have any idea about "DIR:" for showing videos and other bt files?
*any Idea about copy and paste layers with all properties?
*Export and import layers?
*can you put not only text and pictures in xml files but also a .bt file "for showing this text and picture with using this .bt file"?
*I want to make some buttons in blufftitler and recognize which button now pressed by user from outside of player.

Our software is used a lot for digital signage, but mostly to create videos for use in other systems like Netpresenter, TSS Evado and Scala.
Realtime applications is not our focus at the moment.

I hope you win in the world competition for ever, but please see the future plan for adobe flash, They are going to 3d mode some thing like this:
