NextPreviousHome.MTL File Conversion

Does anyone know of a good conversion tool that converts .mtl texture files into .png or .jpg or any other format recognized by BT? It sucks to continually import plain grey models into BT with no texture or color to them.

Thanks in advance for the communities help on this.

I did some googling and learned that the MTL format is a companion file format to OBJ. It describes the materials, but does not contain the textures:

Most 3D model formats do not store the textures inside the model file. Instead, the textures are separate JPG or PNG files. So they do not have to be converted: they are already there. Make sure you place the original textures next to the .X file and BluffTitler has no problems finding them.

Hello,

This has not been the case with 95% of the models I’ve downloaded from turbosquid.

There is not a png or jpeg file only a an mtl file in most cases and so the model is always entered into Blufftitler without any texture.
