Shouldn't items in a container retain their proper
relationships to one another?
In the image you can see as the container is moved
left or right objects lose their relationship.
Have beat my head against this one for months and
still haven't discovered my problem.
Any ideas on what I'm missing?
Yes, the banner has the waving flag applied
They should, but I tested it just in case and here it works fine. ?
Please, could you look at the layers in the container, I believe the position of the depth (z-axis) (third slider) waving flag is a different one then the green block.
Remember that a + sign in the property layer means it's animated from key to key.
And that a - sign in the property layer means that is change from it's default setting.
A quick fix would be to mark the "all keys" and press Reset for all layers in the container one by one that have an + or - sign in there properties.

Another explanation could be physics: moving a flag affects the way it waves. That's inertia.
In real life, when you hold a flag and start running it will also start waving differently.
Moving it has the same effect as increasing the wind speed. And when you move it very fast, you add a hurricane.
Inertia is also the reason why it takes a while before the flag stabilizes when you stop moving.
My advise: try moving it slowly.

Michiel... those screen shots were taken with the everything at rest
nothing was moving at all.
I just moved the container to the left of center...took the shot.
Like wise for the right.
I'm now going to give Komies idea a try and see if that's it.
Thank you sir, appreciate the assistance.
