When there are several items on the screen it can be a bother to remember what layer there where in, so here is a request for editor window enhcancement:

If I hold CTRL when then left click with the mouse on an object (text etc) that layer then becomes the active one.

Say I'm currenly looking at layer 5 - which is a an "O" - but on screen there is also a "P" in layer six. If i hold CTRL and left click on the "P" in the window, layer 6 is made active.
(This is just an example made simple to easy comprehension :)

Thanks for the request!

When you press F2, the local coordinate system (red, green and blue arrows) is rendered for the active layer. This can help identifying layers.

Another trick is to name your layers with the LAYER / ACTIVE LAYER PROPERTIES dialog.

How big are your shows? How many layers do you normally use?

Oh i try to keep the number down. Its not just finding a layer, it would be quicker to move between them :)
