Dani and vincent like this!

I have a .x model that I obtained from a third party (lawfully). The model has a symbol decoration (sub model) that I want to remove. I am aware that the use of ctrl-u will open up the model into layers and I can effectively then remove the offending layer. If I do that though, can I put the new version of the model back together?
I have looked at Blender, Accutrans, MeshX and Milkshape but none (as previously confirmed by Selina) will import the .x format.

Any constructive advice will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Re-export the model and save it after to have deleted unintersting submodels would be a great idea. Another thing for the Michiel's ToDo list, no respit!!!

When you set the SUBMODEL property to a negative value, all submodels are rendered except this one. For example -2 means: render everything, except the 2nd submodel.

BluffTitler is not a 3D model editor and never will be.

Thank you all for your advice.
@Michiel - I know that BT is not a 3D model editor. I was just wondering if there was something simple that I could do inside BT without having to spend money purchasing a 3D modelling app that I would not use very often.

Michiel, wat a good tip. I didn't knew that:
-2 this submodel is NOT rendered
+2 ONLY this submodel is rendered

Great lesson learned
