NextPreviousHomeHow to move text layer behind picture layer?

If I open a new show, add a picture layer and then select the text layer, how do I get the text behind the picture? Using 'Bring active layer forward' or 'Bring active layer backward' has no effect, on either the text or picture layer.

What am I missing here please?

In the position drop down menu there are three sliders. The last one is the "Z" slider. It moves objects along the Z axis (close and far). Move the Z slider to the right and it will push your text away from you and behind your picture layer. Conversely, moving the slider to the left will move your text toward you.

If you're still having problems, make sure the your picture is set to "3D in 3D space". ('The second drop down menu on the far left)
