I'm trying to make a text with the edges stickig out, I mean the area surrounded by edges in a lower level.

I think is an easy one but don't know how to do it.

Any ideas?

If you're using BT11, duplicate the layer and change Round Bevel to stroke on the new layer. Change the bottom Text Size slider to adjust the offset.

BillyJack, I've followed your instructions and it doesn't work.

Give me a graphic example, please.

Is the effect in the "Dani Intros" text what you're looking for?

No, what I am looking for is related to Michiel examples described in Text Styles Mega picture, posted in this gallery.

There are two examples of Outline square/round bevels, and it says "combine with inside", How do you handle this inside?, Duplicating the text layer?, and if so, how do you manage both sizes to make the outline taller than the inside text?

I'm still not 100% sure about what it is you're looking to do, but I did an Outline Straight Bevel text, duplicated it and changed the second text layer to Inside. The Outline Straight Bevel wrapped around the Inside without making any adjustments.

OK BillyJack, that's the idea, I've tried that before, but both texts remain in the same level.

What I want is to make the outline straight bevel emphasized over the inside level, just a bit, without touching the inside which should be framed, in a lower level.

Now I get what you're trying to do. You want a gap between the outline evenly all the way around the base text. I thought I could be slick by adding "Invisible.fx" and a boarder to the outline text to achieve the look, but that didn't work. I'll keep experimenting to see if I can come up with something, but for now I'm stumped. Perhaps Michiel can come up with us a "Stroked Outline" feature or FX.

I am so lost.

Snafu, why don't you post a drawing of what you want?

Michiel I could be wrong but I think what he's looking for is a text outline that doesn't touch the text.

If you create a text and set the style to "Inside", duplicate the text and set style to "Outline Round Bevel" for example, the outline is a trace of each letter of the text, but the two text touch.

If I understand him correctly, he's wanting an even gap between the Outline and inside text. Similar to what a Stroke does by swelling each letter, but instead of swelling the text, expanding the gap between the outline and text.
