NextPreviousHomeAudio Levels Range

I was using an audio track which seemed too quiet when exported and so I increased the Volume above 10.

While the audio seemed fine while playing within the BT player, when I exported I got a lot of distortion and rising and falling volume levels.

I switched back to a volume of 10, and everthing exported fine.

Can you give some guidance on what are acceptable volume numbers?

Should we only use numbers between 0 and 10?

I know I can increase the audio track volume in Audacity and use the remixed track in BT to get my volume how I would like it, but I would just like some guidance on the acceptable numbers to know for future projects.

Thanks.

0 means silence, so it makes no sense to use values lower than 0. Louder is always possible, but you risk distortion.

So your recommednation is only to use 0 to 10 ?

This depends on the audio source.

If the volume of the source is very low (not normalized) you can use a volume of 20 without any distortion.
