Is there an FX file for BluffTitler that will allow an image (or any texture) to be split into multiple slices which could then be rotated?
The following video shows the sort of effect that I would like to achieve.
I found mention of Split.fx when doing a search of the gallery, but I couldn't locate a copy of it so I was unable to work out if that would help me.

Thanks for the link Michiel.
I only asked about Split.fx because I saw it mentioned in an article in the gallery that talked about using the Model Repeat FX, although Model Repeat didn't seem to achieve what I wanted either.
If you have any suggestions about how I can do what I want, it would be good to hear them.
I'm going to look a show called Product Presentation and see if I can adapt that to do what I want.

I think you can do this with a lot of layers using the TEXTURE POSITION and TEXTURE SIZE properties.
Maybe it's also possible to create a clever FX file that automates all this. I have added your feature request to our 2do list.

The video above is actually a recording of one of my websites and the images are manipulated using csstransforms3d via Javascript.
I think I can create what I want out of the Product Presentation show by creating a container with several layers and manipulating them. Then I can just create a show containing just the container and layers, and then merge it it several times into a new show for each "texture".
BUT ... I was hoping that an FX would give ability to vary the number of slices, vary the orientation of the slices (horizontal, vertical, diagonal), vary the speed of the rotation, etc
Thanks for considering adding it to your ToDo list.

Or if you can afford it, this plugin for video editing programs, seem to have something similar with their "pizza boxes" effect.

is true, there are many programs to this effect.
but one is BluffTitler

It would be more helpful if you explained how that was done. And how long it took.
If its something that takes a long time it might be faster with a dedicated plugin.

the effect is (ModelRepeatMask)
this applies to writing source with a square shape.
write 6 characters on stage
You adjustment (vertical space) to stick to each other.
apply fx
adjustment in fx 6-1 (6 because it has 6 characters)
also have to adjust the font size so you have a square,
have to make the turn of the letters.
and apply flexibility (3)
time to do this, about 5 minutes
but once done and not have to do it again.
even adding expression (dir :) can have a full presentation of images
It really is true, it would be faster to use a plugin .. but
in this case costs NewBlue 3D transformations 149.95
BluffTitler 44.95
I'd rather take 5 more minutes to do this with BluffTitler

Hey, I'm not associated with NewBlue. I think they are overpriced as well.

Also, prices are a bit fuzzy given the odd different amounts of VAT added to them.

Hi Maitegras, I don't understand what you are saying above
Are you saying that you are applying the ModelRepeatMask.fx to a text layer and attaching the images to that?
Or are you saying that you have 6 image layers with the ModelRepeatMask.fx added and you are manipulating those?

the first option
