I have a show I downloaded from the gallery ages ago but I cannot find the original article. (A search with 'DLights' produces no hits. Maybe I changed its name.) It looks like this:
dl.dropbox.com...
I added a text layer but it does not appear. Tried changing text colour, position, size, etc. What have I got wrong please?
My aim is to display text and have it illuminated by the spotlights.

That was one mine that demo'ed how to set multi color lights. Here's the link. Not sure on the text, I'll check the file and get back to you on that.

Ok, found the problem. When I set the lights up, they were on the bottom facing up. For the demo, I wanted them turned and facing down so I flipped the camera. Reset the camera rotation and it'll all line out.

As I recall the lights are not really lights they are jpg images which won't shine on your text like you think they might. I'm I right Billy?

Right, to create that effect you would have to use a circle with an Additive effect added to it and follow the light trails around the area. At least that's the best way I've found to simulate the effect.
