I want to render a single layer so that I can see exactly how it looks with the distraction of the other layers.
According to all the documentation I can find, I should be able to use to do this, but everything I have tried still plays all layers.
I've tried holding the 2 keys while I clicked the start icon, then letting go.
I've tried holding the 2 keys while I clicked the start icon, and then holding them throughout the show.

I'm currently running 8.3.1.5 in PRO mode.
Can anyone suggest what I might be doing wrong?

When you press the CONTROL and SHIFT keys at the same time only the active layer is rendered.
This only works when editing. Not when playing the show.
