What is the secret to obtaining acceptable EPS results using Inkscape? I have an iMac, and Inkspot has a mac version; however, even in "Low Quality", BT doesn't want to play with EPS files from Inkspot.
Any help/hints?? Thanks!
If the EPS files are too large BT can't handle them, at least that was true in the past. 7KB or 8KB I believe is the max size.

Thanks for the reply, kf_daddy, but it must be something else?? I've tried the file at 7kb and even 3.2kb...I'm obviously doing something wrong.

Michiel - As you probably know, Inkspot uses Sellinger's program to create EPS vector graphics from BMP files. I can create the EPS files, but no matter what settings I use, BT can't handle. Any ideas, other than the instructions on the BT website, i.e. open in Low Quality mode, etc???

Yes I have, Vincent. I tried a simple circle at 4kb, opened in low quality, and all I get is a white square. I've tried Edge Detection and Brightness Cutoff, both with various settings. I've tried both PostScript level 2 and 3...same results...white square after BT says "cannot handle". About to give up!

jmarkt, not sure it solves your problem because i don't think my program will work on Mac, and i have no possibility to try.

Hi Vincent - I'm running Parallels on my iMac which provides a partition that allows me to operate Windows XP as well. This enables me to run BT in a Windows environment. If you have a Windows version of "EPS Maker" completed, I can load it!

I don't have a Mac but got EPS-export from Corel Draw to work with BT. This could be applicable to other vector graphics software also on the Mac.
- Don't use stroke in the object you export
- Reduce number of nodes
- Make all "nodes to cusps"
- Export selected object only
- Export to PostScript 1
