Michiel - I was afraid this would get lost if posted to the string at May - 2006..."How To Create Light Beams."
I'm using BT on a Mac, running Parallels. Would that make the effect misbehave? The light rays come out "blocky" and I can't seem to change the color?
I'm also having difficulty using the transparency function on a PNG, it also does not operate "smoothly", i.e. begins with a slow fade, but then remains as a black object until the slider gets right to the last key, where it abruptly disappears.
I have an ATI Radeon HD 4670 256 MB video card. Could this be an issue or am I simply misusing the effects???

Neither of the issues are addressed at the link you provided, but I will utilize the box at the 2006 string to ask my question again.
