When I'm experimenting I find I'm constantly scribbling the values of properties so that I can restore them if necessary. Is there some way to take a 'snapshot' of all of these, for all layers and keys, to the clipboard or a text file please?

Thanks. But no way to do what I described in a single operation?

Maybe the UNDO button is what you are looking for.
Or maybe the REFRESH button?
Or the HOME button?

Thanks.
UNDO: Can be useful, yes.
REFRESH: As far as I understand, that just reverts to the original file, losing all changes?
HOME: Not yet sure what that does! (Is there a Search facility in the User Guide that I've missed?)

OK, but how would that be useful in the present context please?
More generally, when would you typically want to use Home? Is it perhaps when you are using BT as a sort of browser?

What you call "current configuration" sounds to me like a .bt show file. Pressing the home button is a quick and easy way to reload the original show you are playing around with, as is indeed the refresh button.
