Hi Michiel!
Is it possible to add one?
the fog can be adjusted from above and below
I think this would be a very useful feature.

Thank you!

What exactly should the 3rd slider do?

Can you Photoshop the result you're looking for?

Or maybe point us to a YouTube video (from a game?) that uses this effect?

Hi Michiel,
I mean something like that.

Thanks for the examples!

In the 2nd example, the fog is the strongest on the ground. So 1 slider is not enough, we also have to define where the fog starts and where it's the strongest. So it's at least 2 extra props:
1) Vertical fog range (2 sliders)
2) Vertical fog intensities (2 sliders)

And probably a 3rd:
3) Vertical fog colour (3 sliders)

Plus we have to rename the current fog props to depth fog:
1) Fog range -> Depth fog range
2) Fog colour -> Depth fog colour

And find a way to combine depth fog with vertical fog. Maybe a Fog mixer prop.

Yes, a simple idea can generate a props explosion...

The camera has mostly empty texture slots. So maybe a gradient and/or cloudy (for naturalism) fog texture could eliminate the need for any additional sliders.

Good idea Thor5ten.

In most NLE software, the fog is made with a specific video layer or a particle generated layer.

Here's an experimental vertical fog effect:
