I need some advise re NLE software. I have looked around a little on AVS and Pinnacle Videospin (free) but can't decide so I will happily get some advise from you regular NLE-users.
I understand that the prizes heavily differs depending on what level you choose. I want to start at a fairly beginners level and later move up.
So where do I get the most bang for the buck?
TIA.
Well windows comes with Movie Maker and I have had good results using it and it's ease of use great.

try adobe premiere elements 8 - it's good, relatively cheap and easy to get to know

Sony Vegas MovieStudio 10 is my choice. 10 tracks of video and 10 tracks of audio. Not too big a program and produce
quality final video.

Edit Studio
mediachance.com...
I've used it for years............may no longer be supported.....so, if your output demands are dvd in nature only, then don't hesitate to check it out.

If you're a Windows user then I think Vegas is the way to go. I use the Pro version but the MovieStudio version will probably be more than adequate for your tasks.

Thank you all, I will check them out by downloading some trials. Have a nice weekend!

I use Sony Vegas Pro 9. very intuitive and easy learning curve. Can do anything Premier Pro and Final Cut can do.

Good if Michiel can get BT plug-in to Sony Vegas MS/Pro.
That's a winner.

I also use Vegas Pro and also the Platinum Studio as well. Been using Vegas since version 4.

I've tried trial versions of several, but Vegas Pro is what I chose. I upgraded to version 9 last year. However, Vegas Movie Studio is enough for most people.
