In vain, I have been trying to simply add a photo as a texture to big block lettering. However, the photo repeats for each letter it seems. I have a background photo, and I want to see the other photo in the text.
I can do this in a video editor (Magix Video Pro X) very simply by putting white text (track 2) between 2 photos or videos (tracks 1 and 3) and giving the text chromakey alpha. One photo shows up as background, the other within the text - as though the text is creating a hole in one photo to be able to see the other.
How can I do this in BluffTitler?
Thanks,
John CB
-Choose MEDIA > Change effect...
-Place your photo in the 1st texture slot
-Select the Special\Masked effect

Michiel,
It's easy when you know how.
Thank you kindly,

With that success, the challenge is now to get the moving text, 2020, to go into the text (Bluff) with the image (at just before 6 seconds in the video) and move sideways only within the Bluff text, with the 2020 not being seen over the back ground image, as shown in the image.
Right now, I have the 2020 text going behind the Bluff text as in the video. If I bring it forward, it passes over both the Bluff text and the background.
I have no clue as to how to even start this. Anyone have any ideas?

Michiel,
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Playing around with the colourmap layer made that part much more clear. I was wondering how to make and use a show within a show.
Before trying the colourmap layer, I exported each layer as a transparent avi with no background image. I also exported the moving 2020 text as white to use as a mask. In Magix Video Pro X, I imported the 3 layers, and successfully created the effect using the mask.
Then I made a new show and added a colourmap to have a second 2020 text. I lined up the two 2020 texts, made the first one quickly become transparent as it went into (z value hit the text) the main text (Bluff) and the second one quickly become opaque. I don't know if there is another way to do this, but it worked very well. There is nothing like creating a show and playing around with it to help learn how to us BT.
I will post a video of the two versions in a couple of days.
Thanks again,

Here is a video of the two methods that I used to create the effect.
