komies and liuyongcai like this!
How difficult would it be to give the user (us) control of when a clip or GIF we are including in a BT a variable start/end time?
Ex: When a video is used in the picture the start of the first frame could
be at second 1.75 of the BT instead of starting at 0.00 sec.
I know that we can put a leader on the video in an editor, but that still is hit and miss of when it functions in BT. If we had control we wouldn't have to increase the size of the clip with the leader and we could real time adjust the clip in BT.
I feel your pain. This needed feature has been requested awhile ago. The header is cumbersome to fine tune for a final edit. I'm confident it's in the todo list.

SMSgtRod and lightads, we all want the same.
Please realize that there are thousands of other feature requests waiting for implementation. We're currently working on a 64 bits version. This is a major technology upgrade that affects all current features.
Technology is hard, but there are other challenges. Here's how you can help:

For the queueing of the clips, I advise you to export your titles with an alpha channel and do the mixing in your NLE:

I think if you make the show finished and you run the show and see what time in the show that you want the gif. then you export the show and in a video editor you just insert at the same time as in the show

May we know the reason, why 64 bit? Is it the Memory limitation of 32 bit (WOW64).
May we have updates? Like performance increase levels?
komies, 4 years ago
Michiel, I don’t remember having read many requests for the 64 bits, I don’t understand why all this work unless it significantly improves the performance of the program, but you said yourself that we shouldn’t expect miracles, so ....how much (%) do you estimate on average the improvement? is it worth the work it represents ?

Personally I would have preferred the ability to import current models rather than the outdated directX format, it's a long-standing demand and a problem that arises to many if you judge the x import and conversion issues....unless the 64-bit makes it easier to implement imports of various models.

I have just done a deep dive in to my mailings and could not find my request for 64 bit BluffTitler all I found was this Article: outerspace-software.com...
Where I said that "Making it Multi Threading a lot more"
My experience in doing larger animations, Cubemaps, Shadows, Particles my CPU cores are not fully utilized there is about 15% that is Multi Threaded to the other Cores while my GPU is waiting and I see some peaks when it needs to render. So yes, "Multi Threaded" I am all in, but I also know that this very difficult to do in order to sync all instructions in real-time even the biggest computer game firms have only released Real Directx12 Multi Threaded games recently while it was released in July 29, 2015 with Windows 10. Also reducing the number of Draw Calls which Directx 12 or Vulkan can do would help by using parallel threads.
But if you are saying that making BluffTitler 64bit is a step towards that, then I will take it. To get the benefits of 64 bit then your Windows has to be 64bit and your CPU has to be 64bit.
Here is a video from 2016 explaining Cpu Bottlenecks and Multi-Threading and the difference between DirectX 11 and 12 if anyone wants to follow this conversation.

Reassure me, will BT64 compatible with Windows 7 and will it need to change video card again ? Thanks.

Check your O.S. with:
Select the Start button , right-click Computer, and then select Properties.
Also If you have a Program files and a Program Files(x86) you have a 64bit machine.
Check your CPU with:
Type command in your Start Menu search bar, select the result Best match, then right-click and select Run as administrator. Once the Command Prompt opens, input the following command: set pro
So Michiel has to have 2 versions not to alienate users with a 32bit PC's.
As for Directx12 Windows 7 or 8 does not support it. Windows 10 does. (Start/ Run: DXdiag) You still can for free update to Windows10 with a Windows 7 or 8 productkey. Also Under Display in DXdiag you can see the Feature Level of your Graphics card.
A small program to determine whether or not your PC is 64 bit.

Thank you Alex for infos, i know that my system is Windows Seven Pro 64 bits and directX version is 11 ( necessary since BT uses .cfx filter effects format). My Windows is an OEM and when i bought computer i remember it was possible to choose W7 or W10 and i believe there was a possibility to upgrade W7 -> W10 later but not sure.

First tests show that the 64 bits version runs a bit faster. And the extra memory range is useful when using lots of high resolution/high detailed media files and rendering in 4k or 8K. So yes, 64 bits is definitely the way to go!

@Michiel
I hope you come to the same realization with DirectX12 as you did with 64bit. If used fully to the max It could Handle 600K Draw Calls, Increasing GPU Performance by 600%
And then there is this: DirectX12 Ultimate
With Mesh Shading that will also save render (real) time within BluffTitler.
